A recycling plant will be built in Kilpilahti, Porvoo next year, through which 10,000 tons of plastic waste per year will be processed into raw material for the chemical industry. Currently, a large amount of waste plastic in Finland is incinerated or sent to landfill.
THE FINNISH oil recovery company Lamor plans to build a chemical recycling plant for plastic in Kilpilahti, Porvoo. The company says it signed an agreement with the circular economy company Resiclo on Wednesday.
The recycling facility produces chemically recycled recycled raw material from waste plastic, which can be used in the petrochemical industry to produce recycled plastic and delivered to suitable refineries for further processing.
